This page explains what Simulevo stores in your browser. It covers other storage such as localStorage as well as cookies. Because only what the service needs to work is stored, we show no consent banner.
1. Cookies and other browser storage
A cookie is a short piece of text the browser stores on a site’s behalf and sends back to the server with every request. localStorage is an area that stays in your browser and is never sent to a server. Simulevo uses both, for different jobs: one remembers which language you are reading in, the other holds your game save.
2. The language cookie
Its name is NEXT_LOCALE. Its purpose is to remember which language you opened the site in and take you back to it next time. It is a strictly necessary functional cookie, not a tracking cookie that would require consent. It is first-party: written by simulevo.com and sent to nobody else. It lasts for the session and is deleted when you close the browser. You can remove it at any time by clearing site cookies in your browser settings.
3. Game saves (localStorage)
Each game keeps your progress and theme preference in the browser’s localStorage under its own key: startup-game-storage, investor-game-store, ecommerce-game-store, marketing-game-store, economy-game-store, student-life-game-store and personal-finance-game. Its purpose is to let you carry on where you left off. It is strictly necessary functional storage, first-party, and its contents are never sent to our servers. It does not expire on its own; it stays until you delete it. Clearing the site’s data in your browser removes it, and with it the save for that game.
4. What we do not use
We use no advertising, tracking, social or analytics cookies. Neither sessionStorage nor IndexedDB is used. No third-party script runs on the pages; even the fonts are served from the site rather than fetched from outside. That is why there is no consent banner: there is no permission to ask for.
5. How to delete or block it
The site data section of your browser settings will clear everything stored for simulevo.com in one go. You can also block cookies entirely; the language preference will then not be remembered and every visit will start in the default language. If you block localStorage, the games cannot resume where you left off, because they have nowhere to write the save.
